Alcatel-Lucent delists from three exchanges
Franco-American equipment maker Alcatel-Lucent has applied to delist its ordinary shares from Euronext Amsterdam, Euronext Brussels and SIX Swiss Exchange.
The company said: "The Board of Directors concluded that the costs of maintaining the Company's listing and registration in the Netherlands, in Belgium and in Switzerland respectfully are disproportionate to the benefits obtained by the Company and its shareholders as a whole."
It added that the delisting would not have any impact on business activities in those countries.
The delisting should be completed by May 2009.
