France Telecom reviews e-commerce business

France Telecom is reviewing its options on its e-commerce portfolio and will probably offload some of its websites.

The French incumbent's e-commerce business includes topachat.com, clust.com, alapage.com, Galaxidion.com et Lalibrairie.com. The sites might be sold or shut down if there is no buyer. A decision is expected to be taken by the end of Q1.

FT's e-business activities employ 250 people, but reportedly only raised E124m revenues and a E21m loss in 2007.

Alapage.com was bought E50m in 1999.
