Carphone Warehouse in new TalkTalk sale rumours
Carphone Warehouse shares climbed 1.5p to 110.25p on Friday, buoyed by rumours that the UK retailer could sell its TalkTalk landline business, reports The Times.
However, analysts today appeared to play down the speculation ahead of the group's Q3 results on Thursday, according to the Independent.
Broker JP Morgan reportedly believes the company will be able to weather the downturn, as long as its trading and the outlook have not worsened since H1 results. It added that expected lagging performance at TalkTalk had already been built into target prices.
